The Department of Pathology and Molecular Medicine of Queen’s University and the affiliated University Hospitals Kingston undertakes comprehensive programs in education and research. Through collaborations with the Queen’s Cancer Research Institute, University Hospitals have an emerging strength in translational research training the new generation of scientists in Genetics, biomedical research and laboratory physicians for both the community and academic sectors. The established programs include cancer biology, vascular biology, genetics, molecular hemostasis, amyoidogenesis and cholesterol metabolism and the application of the design and implementation of novel therapies and diagnostics.
